Following a viral video posted yesterday exposing the poor state of the Kojokrom road and the heavy traffic it caused, the Mayor of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), Lawyer FF Faidoo, has moved quickly to tackle the problem. This morning, under the Mayor’s instructions, the Department of Urban Roads began temporary reshaping works on the affected section. The works involve dredging, grading, leveling, and filling major potholes to improve traffic flow and ease delays for commuters and residents. The Mayor personally visited the site to oversee the emergency intervention, stressing that while this is only a short-term fix, a permanent reconstruction is already being planned in collaboration with the Ministry of Roads and Highways. He also expressed gratitude to the CEO of JustMoh Company for supporting the effort by supplying a 0-40 stone base to fill damaged portions of the road.
