A woman (anonymous) has been attacked by her husband's girlfriend when she tracked the man to the lady's house. According to a relative of the victim, the woman suspecting her husband was with another lady when he told her he was not coming home that evening, trailed him to the house of a particular lady she believed he was having an affair with. The relative said the victim met the suspected lady, who told her that her husband was asleep when she asked about him. Explaining further, the relative indicated that the victim said she saw the lady opening the door all of a sudden, striking her with a stick on her face and subsequently beating her till she went into comma. The victim's in-laws are said to have visited her and pleaded that the matter be settled at home, explaining that she was at fault for going to the culprit's house without her permission. Are the in-laws right?

Ghana Ranks 3rd in World Giving Report 2025

The Ghana Philanthropy Forum (GPF) would like to bring to your notice the release of the 2025 World Giving Report. The report was launched by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) at 12:00 GMT in London. Since 2009, the World Giving Index from the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has provided an annual snapshot of generosity around the world. Over the last 100 years, CAF, present in UK, USA and Canada has led the way in developing innovative approaches to giving. Annually, CAF distribute over £1 billion to charities around the globe. The Ghana Philanthropy Forum is one of three (3) international Network Partners in Africa. The others are in East Africa and Southern Africa.

This year’s report highlights a historic moment for Ghana, our nation ranks 3rd in the world for charitable giving, a powerful reflection of our people’s deep-rooted culture of solidarity and compassion.

The report is based on data gathered from a nationwide survey assessing key indicators such as helping strangers, donating money, volunteering time etc. Ghana’s remarkable position reaffirms the strength of our civic values and the vibrancy of our local philanthropic spirit.

You are receiving this letter not only because of its relevance to your work, but also your passion for Philanthropy.
"In a world often defined by competition and scarcity, there stands a quiet force that unites and uplifts — generosity. Across nations, some rise not through wealth or power alone, but through the simple and profound acts of giving."

Together, we can build even stronger communities powered by generosity.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ben Ocra
