Nana Aduokuah Old Age Foundation Holds Free Health Screening for Gomoa Benso

In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and community care, the Nana Aduokuah Old Age Foundation, with support from Nana Kwabah II, organized a free health screening exercise at the Gomoa Benso Durbar Grounds on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The initiative, themed “We Care, We Love”, brought together health professionals, volunteers, and residents to promote wellness and preventive healthcare.

Screening Services Offered

The free health screening covered vital areas of health, including:

Eye screening to detect early vision problems

Ear checks for better hearing health

Dental examination for strong and healthy teeth

General body check-up to assess overall wellness

By offering these services at no cost, the foundation is addressing one of the major challenges facing many communities—limited access to healthcare.

Promoting Preventive Healthcare:

Speaking at the event, representatives of the foundation emphasized the importance of preventive health care, noting that early detection and treatment can save lives. Many beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the opportunity to check their health without financial burden.

Community Impact:

The exercise was not only about health but also about bringing people together. The Gomoa Benso community turned up in numbers, with both the young and elderly participating. For the elderly in particular, this initiative meant reassurance, love, and care—values that the Nana Aduokuah Old Age Foundation continues to uphold.
