A woman (anonymous) has been attacked by her husband's girlfriend when she tracked the man to the lady's house. According to a relative of the victim, the woman suspecting her husband was with another lady when he told her he was not coming home that evening, trailed him to the house of a particular lady she believed he was having an affair with. The relative said the victim met the suspected lady, who told her that her husband was asleep when she asked about him. Explaining further, the relative indicated that the victim said she saw the lady opening the door all of a sudden, striking her with a stick on her face and subsequently beating her till she went into comma. The victim's in-laws are said to have visited her and pleaded that the matter be settled at home, explaining that she was at fault for going to the culprit's house without her permission. 🇬🇭 Ghana Battalion Position in Southern Lebanon Comes Under Missile Attack

The Ghana Armed Forces has confirmed that a Ghanaian battalion position in Southern Lebanon has come under a missile attack amid the ongoing tensions between the Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah.

According to a press release issued on 6 March 2026 by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters in Burma Camp, Accra, the attack targeted the Ghanaian Battalion Headquarters serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The incident occurred between 1745 and 1752 hours local time in Southern Lebanon when two missiles struck the Ghanaian position.

Casualties and Damage

Reports indicate that two Ghanaian soldiers sustained critical injuries, while another soldier suffered trauma from the attack. The injured personnel are currently receiving treatment at a Level One Medical Bunker and are said to be in stable condition.

Military authorities also confirmed that the Officers’ Mess facility was hit and completely burned down as a result of the missile strike.

Medical Support and Evacuation

Arrangements are underway to evacuate the injured soldiers to the UNIFIL Headquarters Referral Hospital for further medical care. Officials say all other troops are safe and currently sheltered in underground bunkers.

Government Response

The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, has formally protested the incident at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

Authorities have also called on all parties involved in the conflict to respect international obligations and ensure the safety of peacekeepers operating under the UN mission.

Call for Calm

The Ghana Armed Forces has assured the Ghanaian public to remain calm, emphasizing that measures are in place to protect all Ghanaian peacekeepers deployed in the region.

Ghana continues to play a significant role in global peacekeeping efforts, contributing troops to various United Nations missions around the world.
